Counselling offers space and time that is yours alone, to talk and be heard with concern and understanding. Unmet, such needs generate patterns of distance or conflict. When a primary relationship is troubled it is often because it no longer enables both partners to get some very important human needs met-to be accepted, trusted, respected, and loved. I help couples. My role is to be present with you in your exploration, suicidal thoughts, depression and anxiety, relationship difficulties, to support you and challenge you. I help people struggling with addiction, to listen and respond, and workplace issues. It is an opportunity to explore any patterns of behaviour, feelings, relationships, or thoughts which trouble you and cause difficulty in your life. Emotionally Focused Therapy helps couples to experience, accept, and begin to communicate these needs to their partner in ways that can powerfully transform relationship.
